The Cameras page of the Sport Scope app will say "Endzone - Expired" or "Pressbox - Expired" once per season when your replay fee hasn't been paid.
To pay your renewal or switch to a no-replay license, call Sport Scope at 888-335-7875.
If you've already paid your Renewal Fee you must follow these steps to renew your system:
Watch our step-by-step video guide: ** VIDEO COMING SOON! **
Step 1 - Connect your iPad to the Internet
Go to your iPad Wi-Fi settings and select an Internet connection. Please note that if you are currently connected to your Sport Scope Wi-Fi, you are NOT connected to the internet.
What types of networks will work?
Connect to a network that has internet such as:
- a personal home Wi-Fi network
- a public or school network
- or a cell phone Hotspot
Step 2 - Make sure your Sport Scope App is Up To Date
- Make sure your app and iOS are up-to-date. Our current app version is: 4.1.406, which can be found at the very top of the screen in all pages of the Sport Scope app:
- If the app is not up-to-date, go to the App Store on your iPad and search for the Sport Scope app
(not the Sport Scope Live app)
If the app needs an update, it will say "UPDATE".
If it simply says "OPEN" (as pictured below) your app is fully up to date!
- If for some reason you are unable to update the app from the App Store, we recommend deleting the app and then redownloading it new from the App Store again (WARNING: make sure you've shared any Games that still need exported before doing this to avoid data loss).
Full article on updating your App can be found here: My iPad Says Upgrade App - How to Update the Sport Scope App to Latest Version
Step 3 - Update iOS version (optional)
- To update iOS to at least version 15, go to your device's settings
- Settings > General > Software Update.
- If there is a version available, you can download it and it will automatically install
- WARNING: This process can take 30 minutes to an hour. Only update if you have plenty of time. Our app only requires you to be on iOS version 15 or later and most compatible iPads should already be up-to-date enough already
Step 4 - Go to the Sport Scope App
Once ALL your iPads are updated, open the Sport Scope App on one of your iPads. Go to the menu in the top left and navigate to the "Licensing" page.
Step 5 - Tap on the Licensing page
"Last synced" shows when your license was last updated
"Latest License Generated" shows when Sport Scope last updated our online featurelicense file (not usually relevant)
Step 6 - Set the Equipment Up to Apply the License
If your system is fully set up, connect back to your Sport Scope Wi-Fi, open the Sport Scope app, and go to the Cameras page.
As long as ALL of your angles are fully connected, it should automatically begin pushing the license from your iPad onto your blue or orange computer box(es).
It still says Expired, Not Connected, or Camera Offline
This process may take up to 90 seconds, and don't be alarmed if your camera status cycles from "Expired" to "Not Connected" to "Camera Offline" and back again.
(If you haven't completed this process since before 2021, your camera may be stuck on "Expired" and you may have to tap where it says "Upgrade" on each angle. More information on what that looks like can be found HERE).
If the device is stuck on Camera Offline or bouncing between Camera Offline and Ready then go HERE to resolve.
Once all cameras say "Ready" you're good to go!
Still Expired after Renewing your License?
Check to make sure ALL of your camera angles on the Cameras page are the latest version: 3.16.866. Tap on each angle to see its version number. If one or more is out of date, Repeat Steps 3 and 4 or go HERE for upgrading manually.
If it still says Expired and you're certain you paid your license, there may be a mismatch with your identifiers and our database.
Step 1: Go to the Cameras Page
Step 2: Click on the angle or angles that are expired (expired message not pictured below)
Step 2: Take a picture of this screen, notably the identifier numbers which are the last 6 letters/numbers of the MAC address shown in a red box above
- We need this info for ALL angles that show expired
Step 3: Text the picture to 509-204-3270 and explain the issue, also providing your name and school/organization. Or email support@sportscope.com.
