After purchasing a new iPad, there are a few things you will want to ensure are done
STEP 1 - Connect iPad to Internet
Go to your iPad Wi-Fi settings and select an Internet connection. Please note that if you are currently connected to your Sport Scope Wi-Fi, you are NOT connected to the internet.
Connect to a network that has internet such as:
- a personal home wifi network
- a public or school network
- or a cell phone Hotspot
STEP 2 - Install the App
To install apps, you must sign in with your Apple ID or create one .
- From a Home screen on your iPad, tap
App Store
- Tap Search

Then enter Sport Scope in the search bar (at the top).
- Tap the GET button next to the App.

Note: there is both a Sport Scope App and a Sport Scope Live App. Make sure you select the regular Sport Scope App
- Tap INSTALL
- If prompted, sign in with your Apple ID to complete the download
STEP 3 - Ensure your iPad settings are correct

Turn off Bluetooth
- Open the Settings app
- On the left-hand side, find "Bluetooth" and turn it off

Turn off screen Auto-Lock:
- In the iPad settings, find and select "Display & Brightness" on the left-hand side.
- Look for "Auto-Lock" towards the bottom and tap on it.
- Set the Auto-Lock duration to "Never" to prevent the iPad from going to sleep during a game.

Turn off Siri
- In the iPad settings, find and select "Siri & Search" on the left-hand side.
- Look for "Listen for, Press Home for Siri" towards the top to ensure both are off.

Location Services
- Open the Settings app
- Find and select "Privacy and Security" on the left-hand side.
- Tap on "Location Services" to ensure it is turned on.
- Scroll down to the list of apps on the left-hand side again
- Find and select "Sport Scope" toward the bottom
- Set the location access to "Always."

Local Network
- In settings on the left-hand side, scroll down to the bottom and select "Sport Scope".
- Ensure that the switch for "Local network" is activated (indicated by a green toggle bar).
- Confirm that the location access is set to "Always" or "While Using the App".
STEP 4 - Ensure your Sport Scope settings are correct
Smart Camera

Control iPad Settings - Make sure the following is set accordingly on the Control iPad ONLY:
- If you have a multi-angle system only the Smart Camera "endzone" angle should have live feed On from the Cameras page
- For example, if you have a pressbox angle camera DO NOT turn on the live feed on the Cameras page. Make sure it is OFF:
- Once you've created your first game, un-collapse the control panel on the Control iPad Home screen ONLY and do not collapse again:

Replay iPad(s) Settings - Make sure the following is set accordingly on the Replay iPad(s) ONLY:
- Go to the Preferences page and turn Enable Live Feed OFF on each Replay iPad:
- You will experience lag and network issues if more than one iPad has this setting turned on
- Go to the Preferences page and turn Enable Live Feed OFF on each Replay iPad:
Wireless Camera
- Once you've created your first game, un-collapse the control panel on the Home screen and do not collapse again:

Edge Replay

DO NOT turn on the live feed on the Cameras page for ANY of your camera angles. Make sure it is OFF:
