Using the Focus Compatibility Kit with EDGE Replay
Step 1: Connect the Hudl Focus to the Router in your Compatibility Kit
Connect a long ethernet cable (included in the kit) to any of the 3 open ports on the router
Do NOT connect to the port Eth0 (marked with an X on the picture)
Connect it to the Accessory Port in your Hudl Focus (pointed to below)
Step 2: Plug HDMI into Replay
Connect the 6-ft HDMI cable from the HDMI port on the decoder
and the other end to the “Connect Camera” port on your EDGE Replay box
Step 3: Make sure both devices have power
Connect the power strip to an available outlet in the pressbox to power on the devices.
Allow some time for the devices to fully boot up.
If you already had the power plugged in, it does not need to be restarted, the order here doesn't matter.
Double Check the Sport Scope and Hudl Apps
The pressbox EDGE camera angle should show as Ready on the Cameras page in the Sport Scope app.
NOTE: The Focus will not output a video until a recording is started in the Focus App.
Step 4: Start a New Game in the Sport Scope App
Once a recording is started from the Focus App, start a Game in the Sport Scope app and record a few test clips.
You should be able to watch replays of the test clips and view the Focus footage.
Disclaimer: There will be a slight delay between what is happening live and the Focus output video. Be sure to start the recordings of your plays from the Sport Scope app slightly early before the play begins to account for the delay.
The Focus Video is Distorted and/or the Delay is Significant
If the delay is significant or the video is distorted then RESTART THE DECODER by unplugging and plugging back in the power cord to the Decoder.
