DETERMINE WHAT KIND OF DISTORTION
Distorted video on the iPad can happen in two varieties:
DISTORTION A |
DISTORTION B
|
If your distorted video looks like the example in Distortion A above (rainbow colored), proceed to DISTORTION-A SOLUTION. If your video looks like the example in Distortion B above, then proceed to DISTORTION-B SOLUTION.
DISTORTION-A SOLUTION
To resolve this kind of distorted video, you only need to remove the HDMI cable out of the Connect Camera port in the blue Wireless Head box and reinsert.
The iPad will change to a black screen saying Camera Offline and then should go back to Ready within a few seconds and the picture will be clear.
DISTORTION-B SOLUTION
To resolve this kind of distorted video, we need to make sure the camera is outputting the correct HDMI resolution for the Wireless Head. Check the HDMI Output resolution by going to Menu > Set Up > HDMI Resolution > and make sure it is on Auto. 1080p or 1080i cannot be selected.
You may then need to reboot the power on the Wireless Head, or you may need to re-insert the HDMI cable to properly clear the distorted video.
