If you are encountering an issue with one of your batteries, use this page for some quick troubleshooting steps.
Select your battery:
2020 and Newer Pan-Tilt Battery
The first thing to check is to ensure that the battery is plugged in correctly:
THE BATTERY CANNOT BE CHARGED AND USED AT THE SAME TIME. If the charging cord is connected to your battery and you are trying to use it to power the system at the same time, it will not work. You must disconnect the charging cord.
Next, make sure that the battery is on. The Blue Lights on the battery should be on and if all cables are connected to the Wireless/Smart Camera you should see a light by the Ethernet Port.
Check the charge level of the battery: There should be at least 1 light on the battery itself for it to power the Smart Camera. If there is either no light or one single blinking light, the battery likely just needs to be charged.
To charge your battery, disconnect all cables from the battery except for the charging cable.
If the battery is dead, you must charge it for at least 1 hour before the battery can be used for testing again. The recommended charge time for these batteries is 8 hours. When the battery is fully charged, the 4 blue lights will turn off and it is ready to use.
The battery will not charge if you have something connected to it. Ensure that the only cable connected to the battery is the charging cable. If the battery does not hold a charge, call Tech Support at 509-204-3270 for further assistance.
2021 and Newer Motor Battery
The Newest battery system uses the same Anker battery on front, but instead of a Cylinder, a single-slot motor battery (that appears similar to the two-slot Anker Battery) is attached to the side.
THIS BATTERY ALSO CANNOT BE CHARGED AND USED AT THE SAME TIME.
If the charging cord is connected to your battery and you are trying to use it to power the system at the same time, it will not work. You must disconnect the charging cord.
Next, make sure that the battery is on. If the Yellow motor cord is plugged in, the Blue Lights on the battery should be on.
Check the charge level of the battery: There should be at least 1 light on the battery itself for it to power the Motors.
Camera External Cylinder Battery
Turn the battery on before connected it to the camera:
The cylinder-shaped Sony Camera battery may NOT turn on by itself when you connect it. You must press the small LED button (1) to turn it on. It's important that you press the button BEFORE you connect it to the camera (2). This is how you avoid the "Only playback possible during USB Power Supply" error.
Check that the Green LED is lit before connecting to the camera:
Important: If you turn off the camera using the Sport Scope App, the battery does not turn back on automatically. You will need to lower the tower to turn it back on again.
Charging the battery:
Use the Micro USB cord with the included USB wall charger to charge the battery (this is also how you charge the Wireless Head battery). When fully charged the battery light will turn green. Recommended charge time is 8 hours. Battery should last 4-5 hours when being used.
The battery will not charge if you have something connected to it. Ensure that the only cable connected to the battery is the charging cable. If the battery does not hold a charge, call Tech Support at 509-204-3270 for further assistance.
2021 Router and Sideline Battery
Turn the Battery On:
The power will not turn on automatically on this battery. To turn it on, move the switch on the side of the battery to the "ON" position:
Charging the Battery:
Use the provided charging cable to charge the battery. You MUST USE THIS CHARGING CORD:
DANGER: Using a different cord other than the above charging cable can short out the battery.
Ensure you're plugging the charger into the 15V INPUT port. The digital display on the battery will show how much charge is left remaining. While charging the % sign will blink. Once it is at 100%, your battery is charged and ready to use. Recommended charge time is 8 hours. The battery will last between 4-5 hours of use.
The battery will not charge if you have something connected to it. Ensure that the only cable connected to the battery is the charging cable. If the battery does not hold a charge, call Tech Support at 509-204-3270 for further assistance.

Next, make sure that the battery is on. If there are no circular blue lights then tap the button on front of battery. Do NOT press and hold button.
If battery only has one flashing light then this means the battery needs to be charged. Continue to the next step.
Ensure the battery is charged:

2019-2020 Endzone and Sideline Battery
There are two batteries we shipped during 2019 and 2020. They operate exactly the same.
Turn on the battery:
The Endzone and Sideline batteries do not turn on automatically. To turn on the battery, press and hold the power button for 3-5 seconds until the green light by the AC port turns on:
Charging the battery:
Use the provided charging cable to charge the battery. Make sure nothing else is connected to battery while charging. Recommended charge time is 8 hours. Battery should last 4-5 hours when being used:
While Charging the blue lights should pulse, depending on charge level. If the battery is essentially dead there will be 1 blue pulsing light, whereas if it is almost full, there will be 3 or 4 blue pulsing lights. When it is fully charged, the lights will stay lit, and there will be no pulsing or the lights will shut off altogether.
If the battery is dead, you must charge it for at least 1 hour before the battery can be used for testing again. The recommended charge time for these batteries is 8 hours. When the battery is fully charged, it will stay lit without pulsing.
The battery will not charge if you have something connected to it. Ensure that the only cable connected to the battery is the charging cable.
If the battery does not hold a charge or is not working in some other way, indicating that it has gone bad, then it will need to be replaced. This battery is no longer under the 1 year warranty but a replacement that functions in nearly the same way can be purchased here: Replacement Battery. You may also call Tech Support at 509-204-3270 for further questions and/or more details.
2018 or Older Endzone and Sideline Battery

If battery is not on 20v then disconnect all cables from the battery. If necessary, tap the power button once so that the battery life and voltage displays. Then hold down the power button for about 5 seconds. Keep holding it until the small 'v' starts to flash. Once flashing, tap the power button until the voltage changes to 20v. Once on 20v, no further action is needed. Reconnect all cords.
Charging the Battery:
Use the provided charging cord to charge the battery. When fully charged the display will read 100%.
