IMPORTANT: These instructions are ONLY if both Pan & Tilt are not working at the same time or you are getting "double zoom" on both sides of the screen.
Check 1: Ensure that your Motor Battery is on
Sometimes a very quick fix might be as simple as ensuring the battery that your yellow motor cable plugs into (regardless of what the battery looks like) is on and powered. Sometimes this problem can be quickly relieved by pressing a button.
Check 2: Ensure that your Unmarked USBs are both plugged in
Check if there is a virtual joystick on the screen for Pan and Tilt functionality (by default it should appear on the right side when your finger is touching the screen).
There is NOT a virtual joystick or Zoom icon is on both sides of screen:
If there's no virtual joystick on the iPad, try swapping the two USB cables on the bottom of the Wireless Head. They are interchangeable. See photo below:
You may need to re-plug all the power cords from the batteries after re-plugging in these cords. Set up the system from scratch again and the Pan and Tilt virtual joystick icon should appear on the iPad
Check 3: Make sure That your Motor Battery Stays On
If your Motor Battery keeps turning off even after you turn it back on, try the following:
Step 1: Unplug and Swap the location of your
(A) 2-Port Computer/Camera Anker battery and your
(B) 1-Port Veektomx Motor Battery
If you do not have these batteries, disregard these instructions and instead
call/text (509) 204-3270
Step 2: Plug your White Camera Cord into its normal spot
Step 3: Swap where the Yellow Motor Cord and the Blue Computer USB Cord plug in
If this works, this Configuration is how you should run your system from now on.
This is intended to be a long-term solution. Either mark the new plug-in spots yourself, or call/text Sport Scope Support at (509)204-3270 with a mailing address to have new stickers sent via the post office (may take 2-10 business days)
Check 4: Make sure the Video is Live (not frozen)
How can I tell if the video is frozen?
- Have something move in front of the camera and verify on the iPad if the object moves on the video with no or very minimal delay.
If the video is delayed or frozen then visit our "Smart Camera Lag" article for Smart Camera systems and "Wireless Camera Lag" article for Wireless Camera systems.
If video is not delayed then proceed to CHECK 3.
